Sales Motivation Solutions is a training company offering custom designed basic and reinforcement sales training to sales organizations throughout the US. It is owned and operated by Bill Fitzpatrick, a professional sales trainer with over 30 years of direct sales and sales management experience in a variety of markets. He has extensive background in training needs assessment, instructional design, formal instruction and field coaching. His experience began as an Army Recruiter where he quickly rose to sales management positions ultimately culminating as the Chief Recruiter (Sales Manager) for a territory spanning 17 states with over 1500 military recruiters in 300 offices.
While in personal sales he collected a myriad of awards for regularly exceeding sales goals. As a manager he was noted for revitalizing substandard performing organizations through positive motivation. Under his leadership, he consistently out-performed other sales teams including leading his District team of 120 sales people from 37th place to number one in the US.
More recently Fitzpatrick served as the Director of Training for a large company offering financial services products through local agents where he developed the company's basic agent sales training program and a full, one week resident training course for managers. He also served as a Regional Vice President supervising sales operations in 22 States and Europe, consistently maintaining first place competitively in the company.
Fitzpatrick graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor of Arts in Sales Management. He has also completed a whole range of professional seminars and courses, studying every aspect of the sales and sales management process.
He is the co-author of "Does Your Resume Wear Combat Boots" and "Does Your Resume Wear Blue Jeans", and author of "The Carrot and the Stick (A Practical Guide for Sales Managers)". He has recently converted his manuscripts "Ask for the Order" and " The Carrot and the Stick " into complete self-paced courses for sales professionals and managers. He has also authored a myriad of articles on the entire process of sales, selling and sales management.
Fitzpatrick now heads Sales Motivation Solutions, an organization with the goal of helping sales teams realize their full potential through positive motivation and effective sales training.
